EQUAL Initiative’s Second Round
11-12 June 2004
Funded through the European Social Fund, EQUAL is an initiative which tests and promotes new means of combating all forms of discrimination and inequalities in the labour market, both for those in work and for those seeking work, through transnational co-operation. EQUAL operates across identified thematic fields embracing the four pillars of the European Employment Strategy (Employability, Entrepreneurship, Adaptability and Equal Opportunities) and includes projects with women, ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, older workers, refugees, ex-offenders, and drug and alcohol misusers. EQUAL also includes action to help asylum seekers integrate socially.
Many ENAR members developed successful projects under the first round. The main aim of this seminar is to provide information, advice and guidance for the second round of the EQUAL programme.
This training seminar is also the first opportunity for ENAR to invite its members and potential members from the new EU Member States and to intensify our cooperation.
Participants shall be delegates of ENAR member and potential member organisations who have some experience with project development and would be committed to develop partnerships under the EQUAL fund.
Application/registration by
members and potential member organisations from the new EU Member States: As no ENAR
co-ordinations are established yet in the new Member States, all new member
and potential member organisations are invited to send in their application
for participation at this ENAR Seminar before 20 May 2004. Please note that applications received after this date will NOT
be taken into consideration. Due to financial constraints, only one
person per country is eligible for
reimbursement. Therefore, a ballot will be organised and only one
application per country will be drawn. On 21 May 2004, the Secretariat will
inform all new member and potential member organisations if their applicant
will be subsidised. More
participants are welcome but they will need to cover their own expenses.
Registration by ENAR co-ordinations: If you want to
participate at the seminar, please contact the Board Member of your country
(see list below) before 18 May 2004.
The Board Member will transfer at the latest by 20 May 2004 the registration form(s) to the ENAR Secretariat, indicating
the name of the participant ENAR will pay for. Please note that
registrations received after this date will NOT be taken into
consideration. In the following days, the Secretariat will contact all
selected participants to confirm participation and possible reimbursement. ENAR will cover the costs of the seminar for one person from each ENAR co-ordination. If other persons from one co-ordination want to attend the
seminar, the co-ordination will have to identify the participant ENAR pays
for. Other participants are welcome but won’t be reimbursed.
The languages used during the seminar and for the documents will be English and French.
The seminar will be held at the ENAR Office Building:

If you make your travel arrangements in good time and no fares below the maximum amount stated in the table below are available, please contact the Secretariat. We will not be able to reimburse travels costs above the maximum amounts stated without written confirmation from the Secretariat.
