Position Title : Project Assistant
Type of appointment : Special all-inclusive contract, duration six months, renewable
General functions: Under the overall guidance of the Director, Regional Office for the Mediterranean and Chief of
Mission in Italy and the direct supervision of the Head of the Psychosocial and Cultural Integration (PSY) Unit and the Planning and Coordination Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for providing support to the PSY Unit, with a special emphasis on assisting the development of a multileveled information strategy related to the PSY Unit key areas of work.
In particular, the successful candidate will:

University degree in Political or Social/Humanities Science, International Relations. Experience in information management. Direct experience in IOM programmes and activities. Familiarity with psychosocial and cultural integration issues is an advantage. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written. Drive for results, flexibility and open working style. Strong strategic and creative thinking. Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds and to effectively handle multiple tasks under time constraints. |
Languages: Excellent level of oral and written English, good Italian
