The ITUC is looking
for a dynamic person who could join its Finance Department, as a full time
Finance Officer
whose key
responsibilities will be:
á
The
financial follow up of projects with internal and external funding : budget
preparation, financial monitoring control, and reporting
á
To
prepare financial statements for internal and external audit
á
To
ensure that the standards and regulations of donors are followed and
implemented accordingly
á
To
give support and guidance on financial issues and coordination of projects and
activities
á
Ensure
that financial reports and accounts of regional/representative offices are reconciled and properly accounted
á
To
contribute to the general financial responsibilities of the department
Qualifications
required are:
á
Degree
in economics, accounting, or relevant experience of at least 7 years in finance
and/or project planning and monitoring
á
Expertise
in accounting and audit preparation, preferably in a non-profit environment
á
Experience
in an international organisation is an asset
á
Sound
knowledge of English essential, knowledge of Spanish is an asset
á
Analytical
skills and accurate minded, pro-active in problem solving, team player,
commitment to trade union values
